Happy Repeal Day!

Today we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the 21st amendment repealing prohibition, aka the “Volstead Act.” Every December 5th we remember the horrid thirteen-year spat between the people and congress and revel in the idea that nothing can keep us from our booze. Clink glasses tonight in honor of the resiliency of the American spirit(s) and the return to civilized drinking. These two cocktails were all the rage at bars and clubs before Americans had to settle for any hooch they could stomach at the speakeasy.

Cheers!
