December Drinking Holidays

Christmas & other holiday events may dominate your calendar this month, but December is chock full of days to celebrate! Below are Minibar’s favorite non-traditional holidays. In the spirit of giving, here is their chance to shine.

December 5th: National Repeal Day

This day honors the anniversary of the 21st Amendment, which officially repealed Prohibition. December 5th, take a moment to give thanks that our great government finally came to its senses; and clink glasses in honor of the resiliency of the American spirit(s), and the return to civilized drinking.

December 17th: National Maple Syrup Day

Maple leaves are so revered they have their own NHL team and a prominent spot on the Canadian flag. Such admiration is due, seeing as they’re responsible Maple Syrup: our favorite breakfast condiment, and a great cocktail ingredient. Pay your respects with a Maple Leaf cocktail.

December 24th: National Chocolate Day

If you needed another reason to indulge your sweet tooth this holiday season, National Chocolate Day is begging you to pair that glass of wine with a decadent treat. It’s the least you can do to honor the sugary friend, which is always there in times of need.

December 31st: National Champagne Day

It’s no surprise that New Year’s Eve doubles as Champagne’s day in the sun. Order your bottles of bubbly ahead of time to beat the holiday rush!
