DIY Watermelon Keg

Try this fun and easy DIY project for your next poolside or rooftop adventure while there're still a few dog days of summer left. Not only are watermelon kegs great to look at and a total hit with any crowd, they also infuse whatever cocktail or mocktail you choose to put in it with a delicious watermelon twist.

What you'll need: Plastic drink spout, watermelon, large and small knife.

Cut a small hole 2/3 of the way down and insert your drink spout. Be sure to to secure it from the inside.

2. Even off the bottom by cutting it with a large kitchen knife until it can stand on its own.

Use a small knife as a handle for the top. (Makes for easy refilling)

3. Cut out a circular top like you would a pumpkin and scoop out the melon with a large spoon or your hands. (Be careful not to hit the bottom)

Tat is up if you want! Personalize your keg by etching it lightly wife a small knife's blade.
