Watermelon is in season and there’s no other way to celebrate than with a watermelon cocktail from a watermelon keg. Try this fun and easy DIY project for your next poolside or rooftop adventure. Not only are watermelon kegs clever, they look great and are a total hit with any crowd.

Step 1:
Lay your melon on its side. Even off the bottom by cutting a flat surface for the melon to stand upright on its own. Be careful not to cut too deep into the rind.

Step 2:
Cut out a circular top like you would a pumpkin and scoop out the melon with a large spoon or your hands. Be careful not to hit the bottom.

Step 3:
Cut a small hole 2/3 of the way down and insert your drink spout. Be sure to secure it from the inside.
